All the way from Madrid, Spain.

Javier, Olomo and five friends from Madrid enjoyed a few days at Colonial Bay. After spending the day in Algonquin Park hiking, they came back to their cottage and enjoyed the waterfront. The canoes, kayaks and water trampoline were all part of the afternoon fun. Javier even spent some time shooting hoops this morning. Next time Nicolle and I are in Madrid we've been invited to catch a football game with the gang!!

The summer 2007 swim to the point.

These pictures were taken by longtime guest Randy Loewen. This year the Loewen family celebrate their 13th. summer at Colonial Bay. Last year Rachel, Nicolle, Julia and Adrian set out for the Kilometer and a bit swim to the "rock".

Corn Roast

Everyone enjoys a good campfire while on vacation. We add a different twist at our wrap up campfire on Friday and start with a corn roast. This week Nicolle was able to get an early batch of fresh Ontario corn, lots of butter and salt and pepper. Bruce set up the big corn kettle and here is a short video of us getting started.

Learning to Kayak...

Carley decided to try her hand at Kayaking yesterday. The weather was sunny and warm and the wind was calm so it was a successful adventure.

Playing at the Beach

The waterfront is always an active spot at Colonial Bay. The sand pile is a favourite of big and little kids!

Bears in Algonquin Park!

We often hear about Bears in Algonquin Park but not many people ever see them. One of our guests was able to snap this picture of a Mom and a Cub playing off in the distance.

Many of our guests visit Algonquin Park to see moose, beaver, and various other birds and wildlife.
